Winthrop Panel Moves to Require Resumes for Policymaking Board Applicants

Winthrop's Rules and Ordinance Committee advanced a plan to require resumes and mandatory council appearances for applicants to policymaking boards. The urgency was sharpened by the recent resignation of a ZBA member — attributed in part to the prospect of a council appearance for reappointment — leaving that board potentially without quorum to meet state-mandated response deadlines.
