Winthrop Records 15 Property Transfers, but Nearly All Sale Prices Go Undisclosed

The Suffolk County Registry of Deeds recorded 15 property transfers in Winthrop between July 10 and Aug. 8, but only one, a $50,000 sale of 24 River Road to Webster First Federal Credit Union, disclosed a sale price. The remaining 14 transactions closed without a reported consideration amount, a routine feature of deed filings. Banks or mortgage companies, including Citizens Bank NA, Rockland Trust Company, Bank of America NA, PennyMac Loan Services LLC and Envoy Mortgage Ltd., were listed as sellers in seven of the 15 transfers. Governors Drive saw three separate condominium unit transfers, the only street with more than one recorded sale. With so little price data disclosed, the record does not support broader conclusions about market tone this period.
